Gravelly Point is a favorite spot for DC and Virginia locals to watch the (very loud) planes take off and land at Reagan National Airport (DCA).
The spot makes for some great photos, especially on a bright blue day, but nothing can really do justice for an airliner buzzing right over head. I recommend heading out there for a picnic, as long as you don’t mind the noise!
