This was taken last week in Southwest DC. It wasn’t anywhere special–just next to a parking lot near the water front–but there was something about the glow of this sunset.

Spring at the National Arboretum
This was taken last week at the National Arboretum. Most of the flora hadn’t sprouted yet, but this tree’s bright yellow flowers contrasted well against the deep blue sky (I was using a polarizer). In the background are the old corinthian columns of the Capitol building that were replaced after the Capitol dome was completed.
